  • If you require the services of an interpreter, you will need to test at one of the Department of Licensing locations. The Department of Licenses will work with you to have an interpreter available for your exam.
  • Use the link below to book your Knowledge exam.
  • We DO NOT accept checks for DOL Test Fees. Cash, credit or debit cards are accepted.

To take the Skills Exam (Driving Test), you must have passed the Knowledge Exam, be 18+ years old or complete all the course requirements of a state certified Driver Training program.

All testing for driver's licenses are done at our North Spokane location at 329 W Hastings Rd.

What to Bring to Your Tests

A government-issued ID with your photo
If your permit does not have your picture, you must also bring a current high school or college ID with a photo.

Your Washington State ID Number
This number will be on your WA ID card or permit. Apply for an ID Number. When you have completed this process, log into your LicenseExpress account to find your ID Number.

Preparing for Your Tests

We strongly advise reviewing the Department of Licensing website and watching the videos before taking your drive test.

Study the Washington Driver Guide very thoroughly before testing. Online practice tests are not very effective at preparing you to pass your written test.

Fees paid to secure your Drive test appointments are not transferable or refundable.
